-What I talk about when I talk about Anime-

Doctor is founder and master editor of the SSAA ‘Ass Backwards’ Anime Podcast. He and I have been doing projects together since the get-go. To quote a line from his website, ‘He was doing it before it was cool’. Doctor is a man of many talents, one of them being the Super Saiyan levels of editing he is capable of editing that mortal men and sound gods envy (I among them). Ask Doc about any show, he’s seen it – twice actually.

I think it’s important to think about what you’re watching. Thought is the gateway to empathy, and empathy the gateway to understanding. Good art causes you to reflect on your emotions, your likes and biases, and that inflection causes the introspective subject to grow. That is not to say a show cannot be watch for fun, and Doctor and I hash that out this episode. How far is too far? When does it stop becoming fun?
