Josh – You know why my body is 80% Anime right? It’s because I killed Tezuka.

The Sound of Silence

CJ and Jimmy are joined by Josh Dunham to talk about the anime film adaptation of A Silent Voice. They discuss what they love about the film and the few nitpicks they had as well. Patreon Questions this week continue the conversation about the New York Times Article from the previous episode and what we’d like to see Naoko Yamada, the director of the film, tackle next.

-Excerpt-

CJ – That first time he goes after her hearing aids and she starts bleeding from her ears.
Jimmy – Yeah?
CJ – That scene is gut wrenching.
Jimmy – There’s a lot of gut wrenching in this film.
CJ – There’s a lot of heavily intense, emotional scenes and how they depict them in this film is fantastic. Cause its not like Fist of the North Star where he rips out the hearing aid and a bucket of blood just starts gushing from out of her ear.
Josh – Wow…
JimmyLaughter
CJ – It’s really subtle.
Jimmy – Never thought about that before.
